At CIIC-HIN, Community engagement is a key component on the pathway to address issues affecting the well-being of people. In the recognition that lifestyles, behaviors, and the incidence of illness are all shaped by social, physical and mental environments; we focus on community engagement throughout our activities. Health issues are best addressed by engaging community partners who can bring their own perspectives and understandings of community life and health issues.
At all levels of the society, we engage the community through questionnaires, focus-group discussions, interviews, and community meetings to respond to the needs of end-users and consumers of generated evidence that enable two-way evidence-based policy making and implementation.
