Supporting Malaria Modelling Capacity Development (Sept 2022-Aug 2025)
Sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) will work to implement this project in collaboration with universities, research institutions, operational partners and National Malaria Control Programs (NMCPs) from Benin, Rwanda, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire, Switzerland, Australia, Kenya and Ghana that make up the MaModAfrica consortium. CIIC-HIN is part of this consortium from Rwanda.
This project aims at increasing the number of academically trained malaria modellers in sub-Saharan Africa. The overall goal is to create a community of modellers and operational professionals sharing expertise and experience to build sustained evidence-based decision-making in Africa
